This year I…. mothered baked… finished a novel… said goodbye to those I loved…. Ran many miles (and subsequently lost 30 pounds…) Hung out with some beautiful people…and animals gave voice to some amazing authors….published some stories…knitted…taught… It was, after all, a pretty good year.  Here’s to 2012. ...

Christmas Tradition
Every year, we make a Gingerbread House.  This year, I made the gingerbread and baked the pieces on Thursday, Mark and I built the house on Friday and today, Christmas Eve, the girls decorated. We always use leftover Halloween candy and whatever other pieces come our way.  (I even had leftover jelly beans from Easter, well hidden because I dieted made a lifestyle change this summer.)
